The Honeywell PS-440 stand-alone HF COMM Control Panel is designed specifically to tune a KHF-1050 HF Radio Communications System. The KHF-1050 HF System consists of a KPA-1052 Power Amplifier, KRX-1053 Receiver/Exciter, PS-440 Control unit and the KAC-1052. The PS-440 uses digital ARINC 429 bus at a dedicated low speed to have full operational control of the KHF-1050 HF system. The PS-440 can be used with either a single HF COMM radio or dual HF COMM radios.

The PS-440 Control Panel is 2.375 inches wide, 2.625 inches high, 7.296 inches long and 1.2 pounds maximum. The PS-440 has variations between white or amber backlighting, black or gray front panels and some with night vision capabilities. The PS-440's operating temperature is -20°C to +70°C.
